RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manage and hold accountabilities for all commercial and technical activities for the customer in Europe. Ensure sustainable profitably and growth of the respective business. Communicate effectively with the key account team members. Own mid-management relations to customer in Europe, and ensure robust pricing, claim management, and working-capital discipline across the value chain. 

 

 Customer Relationship Management 

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with decision-makers at the OEM entities. 
  • Ensure right levels of local customer satisfaction by proactively addressing customer needs and concerns. 

Collaboration 

  • Support global GKAM teamwork, including regular team meetings, conference calls, and GKAM summits. 
  • Support cross-functional collaboration (involving Application Engineering, Quality, Sales, Program Management, and Controlling) to align on global account objectives. 

Business Development and Opportunity Management 

  • Pursue and win new business opportunities and competitive bids. 
  • Identify and drive local growth initiatives within the account. 

Commercial and Quotation Management 

  • Manage local Request for Quotations (RFQs), price calculations, quotes, and Capital Approval Requests (CARs). 
  • Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines for quote and CAR approvals. 

Margin+ 

  • Ensure effective commercial management throughout the product lifecycle according to Margin+ processes in close cooperation with Marketing colleagues. 
  • Identify and implement ORO measures to enhance account profitability. 
  • Optimize business rules (e.g., DIV, DSO) for improved operational results. 
  • Work closely with the Margin Manager to lead local claim management efforts with OEM. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering/chemical or business, preferably with specialization in automotive sales. 

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of proven commercial work-experience in the automotive industry, ideally as Account Manager

Knowledge/Skills required

  • Strong negotiations skills in English language
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to frequently travel to support customers.
