As a Senior R&D Engineer, Reactor Testing Group you will LEAD by…
- Managing effective operations of multiple complex, high-throughput reactor systems used for catalyst evaluations, including advanced troubleshooting and on time completion.
- Leading reactor design modifications, upgrades, and repurposing efforts aligned with evolving testing needs
- Designing complex experimental protocols and automated data processing code for large datasets using Python, and/or VBA
- Diagnosing and resolving system-level issues across hardware, instrumentation, and control architecture using your experience in data acquisition and control strategies using LabVIEW, and/or PLC systems.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in reactor capability, reliability, and lab efficiency
- Mentoring less experienced team members and provide technical guidance across reactor operations and automation.
- Author technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrating your extensive experience working in a research lab environment, you will have a strong focus on safety and drive a zero-incident mindset.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and champion a zero-incident culture
- Adhering to the ISO 9001/TS 16949 quality standard, you will perform and document calibration, verification, maintenance activities in various databases and be diligent about lab procedures and continuous improvement.
- Being self-driven and working well both independently and as a team member, you will make technical decisions or proposals focused on achieving project or customer goals
Your elements for success…
- Maters and at least 7 years or a PhD and 3 years (Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related)
- Proven experience with complex reactor systems and reactor modifications required
- Strong expertise in reactor troubleshooting required
- Proficiency in Python and/or VBA required
- LabVIEW experience preferred
- Ability to independently drive technical decisions and influence direction
- Ability to indirectly lead or mentor others preferred
- ISO9001 experience preferred
- Experience with internal and external audits preferred.

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $115k-$140k annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
