Position Overview:


We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our chemical processing facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure critical to daily production. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial maintenance—preferably in a chemical or process-oriented environment—and is comfortable with a dynamic schedule that includes on-call shifts, early morning starts, staying late as needed to complete tasks and weekend availability as needed.

 

As a Maintenance Technician, you will…  

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, HVAC systems and piping systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems in a hazardous materials environment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies during regular and on-call hours.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery or process systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA regulations, environmental policies, and site safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using the facility’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and process performance.
  • Assist with inventory control of spare parts and maintenance supplies.


 

Qualifications:    
 

  • High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in a chemical plant, refinery, or manufacturing facility.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills; basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, and other safety procedures in chemical environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Physically able to climb, lift, kneel, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
  • Comfortable working around chemicals and wearing required PPE, including respirators when needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

The competitive Pay Rate for this role is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
