As the Facilities Engineer, you will LEAD by……….

We are seeking a reliable, talented, and detail-oriented individual who can provide maintenance and engineering services in a fast-paced R&D environment; areas of support will include office space, warehouse, laboratory and facilities spaces. This position is responsible for the safe and cost-effective execution of maintenance and project work on a day-to-day basis. It will oversee the activities of our on-site nested contractors and external contractors as needed. In addition, this position will ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations as it relates to site infrastructure work.

In this role you will

  • Coordinate repairs and oversee outside contractors regarding infrastructure equipment needs, including, but not limited to: HVAC, fire suppression, security systems, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, hot water heaters, refrigeration equipment, electrical distribution and bonding/grounding equipment, tanks and vessels, pressure relief valves
  • Open and close daily safe work permits as they relate to outside contractor work, including, but not limited to: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Line Breaking, Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Excavation, Elevated Work, Electrical Work, Hoists and Cranes
  • Perform Contractor Safety Observations on an as-needed basis
  • Maintain proposals, quotes, invoices, files, and other paperwork for all the various contractors and vendors used by the site maintenance contractors
  • Review daily rounds reports and follow up on any corrective actions
  • Manage work order databases in the CMMS (SAP S/4 Hana)
  • Daily oversight of in-house nested contractors
  • Maintain up-to-date AutoCAD drawings of site plans, facility P&IDs, floor plans, etc.
  • Travel to other sites to work with Site Engineering Services for training on systems and practices to deploy at home site

 

 

Your elements for success……

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or similar related degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience at an industrial site/environment required.
  • HVAC knowledge required
  • Previous facility maintenance experience in an R&D environment is preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred
  • Capital project management (~ $100k USD) experience
  • Working knowledge of Responsible Care (RC/RCMS) process
  • Arc Flash & electrical distribution system knowledge
  • Managing mechanical integrity program experience
  • Broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various building mechanical systems
  • Possess a good working knowledge of all mechanical crafts and a solid understanding of maintenance work processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and SAP is desired

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $100k-$120k annually. Actual pay will be determine based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
