RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring effective troubleshooting and failure removal, including full root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions within the assigned area.
- Root cause analysis of key/recurrent failures (“Bad Actors”) and implementation of remedial measures to eliminate them.
- Defining objectives and monitoring maintenance indicators (at minimum: UL, SL, MCI). Taking effective action in case of deviations from defined targets.
- Analyzing failure trends and defining corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyzing failure-related costs and proposing optimization measures.
- Creating and optimizing maintenance plans and procedures (both preventive and reactive).
- Ensuring that required inspections, maintenance, and reviews are carried out.
- Ensuring organization of work in the assigned area in compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures and rules.
- Defining and implementing maintenance strategies.
- Active participation in projects related to defining, improving, and transferring production technologies.
- Proposing ideas that can improve efficiency, quality (of processes and products), and safety.
- Providing technical support to other plant departments, especially in areas related to safety incident analysis, including defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Supporting the continuous improvement and reliability process of the reactive and preventive maintenance teams (MERP).
- Supervising, executing, and optimizing services commissioned by the technical department’s engineers.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements (and BASF global standards) for machines, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Updating technical documentation for machines, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Implementing and updating work instructions for the technical department.
- Effectively implementing modifications to machines/equipment and infrastructure initiated by the technical department to improve their availability.
- Standardizing spare parts for machines, equipment, and infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS:
Professional experience:
- Manufacturing industry – 5 years or more
- Work in a similar position – 5 years or more
- Experience in team management – 5 years or more
Other requirements:
- Higher education degree
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other processes/areas

- Knowledge of labor law (working time, general regulations), Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) requirements
- Knowledge of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
- Practical knowledge of SAP PM
- Ability to use the Bad Actor analysis tool
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Understanding of legal requirements for operation of machines and equipment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 requirements within the relevant area
- Familiarity with internal regulations and instructions applicable to the area of responsibility
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies, including 8D and RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S)
- Understanding of customer-specific requirements within the area of responsibility
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles
- Proficient use of training and competency modules in CompliantPro
