The CC Group refines precious metals that have been harvested from catalytic converters and other materials. The role of the Sample Prep Area Technician will include handling and testing precious metals in dust form.  In this role, you will be responsible for processing samples from production by means of Moisture Analysis, Small Mills, Blenders, and Jar Splitters. 

The Sample Prep Area Lab Technician will have responsibility for the operating equipment of the Converse SPA (Sample Prep Area). They will perform and train others to perform the processes to prepare samples for shipment to Assay labs, and Preliminary analysis of Samples, to include Base Metal and Carbon and Silicon Carbide analysis. The SPA Technician will be responsible for uploading this information into SAP and providing support for other SAP needs of AutoCat processing.

As a Sample Prep Lab Technician, you will…    

• Establish, reinforce, and support a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and procedures/policies.  
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Plan activities and establish priorities for products in keeping with effective safe operations.
• Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts based on site need.

Qualifications:     

• High School Diploma or GED, required     
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills and excellent math skills.
• SAP Knowledge highly preferred
• Quality and Lab Experience highly preferred
• EHS and ERP involvement highly preferred
• Experience with Lab equipment and closely following policies, procedures and standards highly preferred
• Demonstrating your attention detail will be imperative in delivering accurate data from lab samples

The competitive Pay Rate for this role is $24.00/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
