Purpose of the Job

 

Global Strategic Pricing Manager will develop and implement global pricing strategies for both Catalytic Components and PGMs T&Cs to optimize margin generation across regions and customers.

 

  • Lead the development and global implementation of best pricing practices to create and capture maximum value from our products and services. That is, for both new and existing businesses.
  • Partners with Product Management, Platform Managers, Sales, RD&A, and PGM Controlling to successfully implement those pricing strategies.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Provides guidance to Product and Platform Managers globally to define pricing (traditional MFC, PGM terms, and other T&Cs) strategies at the competition (OC, TT, VAVE) level according to PLM process.
  • Provides guidance and approval for all PGM T&Cs and Model Changes for the LD Portfolio Globally
  • Defines appropriate Pricing Models (E.g. Value Pricing, Price Follower, Market, Cost+, etc.) for different parts of the portfolio to create and capture maximum value.
  • For Technical Change Management (driven by customer request or internal need), VAVE/Tech Turnovers, etc. the Pricing Manager will work with extended commercial team to define price changes.
  • Define business steering metrics to maximize enterprise value in close collaboration with ECMS Global PGM Manager. This includes the development of tools to incorporate those metrics and definition of Roles and Responsibilities for tool and data maintenance.
  • Partner with HD Pricing Manager and extended Commercial team to maintain appropriate repository system for business quotes and approvals.

 

 

Experience requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, marketing, engineering, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of wide-ranging experience. E.g. pricing, finance, product management, RD&A, sales, operations, controlling, commercial strategy or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate at various levels in the organization (technical, multi-function, senior leadership).
  • Analytical skills required combined with the ability to consolidate overall insights into a few key messages in a highly collaborative work environment.
  • Experience with commercial profitability processes / pricing a plus
