As the Medical Operations and EHS Support Specialist – Seneca, SC you will LEAD by…

  • Working with a team of medical and EHS professionals in the direct support of site medical and EHS programs.
  • Program, budget, and vendor management for EHS sitewide services (safety boot programs, safety glasses, and general site PPE).
  • SAP administrator for EHS related purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
  • Occupational health clinic and EHS cost control lead.
  • Coordinates appointments and service schedules for pre-hire, injury evaluations, return‑to‑work assessments, regulatory health screenings, and medical surveillance activities
  • Administers and oversees day‑to‑day operational workflows for the Occupational Health Clinic, ensuring efficiency, confidentiality, and service quality.
  • Ensures employee interactions and clinic procedures consistently align with organizational policies and professional standards of confidentiality.
  • Maintains compliance monitoring tools, tracking systems, and dashboards to ensure timely completion of required screenings and medical surveillance.
  • Leads employee notification and follow‑up processes for required health evaluations, compliance testing, and scheduled onsite clinics
  • Prepares regulatory summaries, audit materials, and performance metrics for EHS and HR leadership to support OSHA, DOT, and corporate compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinates with clinical staff to ensure accurate and complete documentation of workplace injuries, assessments, and follow‑up actions.
  • Collaborate with site occupational health nurses and EHS professionals to plan and implement facility‑wide health and wellness initiatives (e.g., seasonal vaccination events, medical surveillance clinics).
  • Provide leadership continuity by supporting and serving as backup for the Seneca Site Coordinator during scheduled absences, events, and cross‑functional initiatives.

 

Your elements for success….

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent required with at least 5 years of related experience within a Medical Office, EHS or Manufacturing Environment; OR Associates or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage sensitive information and make decisions aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to generate analytics, reports, and documentation for leadership review.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and workflow management capabilities.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $60k - $70k. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
