Maintenance Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing
We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll oversee daily maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support production by minimizing downtime and ensuring reliability. You’ll also coach and develop a team of skilled technicians, drive continuous improvement, and play a key part in creating a safe, productive work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Establish, reinforce, and support a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and company policies.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; set clear expectations and hold team members accountable.
- Assign and direct daily maintenance work (corrective, preventive, and predictive) to support production needs.
- Review and communicate work order status and results to production and key stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed to reduce downtime.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance staff through training, feedback, and performance management.
- Set annual goals and objectives for direct reports; monitor progress and provide performance appraisals.
- Maintain accurate timecards for direct reports and review the accuracy of work orders and maintenance records.
- Document and address discrepancies, complaints, and disciplinary issues when necessary.
- Support the acquisition of needed parts and materials through storeroom or external suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to prioritize maintenance activities that optimize uptime.
- Ensure all training requirements are met by direct reports and track employee progression and development.
- Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean practices, and cost-saving projects related to maintenance.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or engineering degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

The competitive Pay Rate for this role is $80 - $90,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
