This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with strong skills to work as part of a global indirect procurement team to oversee and optimise the sourcing and acquisition of non-production goods and services. Reporting to the Outsource and Contracts Manager you will work across diverse regions to drive cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.

 

Home-based position with up to 10% travel

 

As a Critical Indirect Buyer your main responsibilities are:

  • To provide professional Indirect Procurement expertise to the ECMS businesses in area of responsibility.
  • To work with the Outsource and Contracts manager to deliver strategic contracts globally according to the ECMS Procurement Guidelines in cooperation with the ECMS Procurement organisation and associated stakeholders.
  • A critical component of the role is to develop market intelligence networks with major ECMS equipment suppliers, both existing and new. Working closely with wider ECMS stakeholders to explore asset-based optimisation initiatives and projects from the market to deliver Best in Class manufacturing technology opportunities and solutions.
  • You will conduct major Indirect contract negotiations for the entire ECMS group when appropriate, engaging with multiple global stakeholders and partners.
  • You will develop and implement global strategies based on market analysis and BU needs.
  • Supplier management (negotiations, innovation, development, meetings, sourcing, assessment).
  • You will work with Site buyer/Operational officer community to ensure price validity and contract availability in all necessary sites as required.
  • With the Outsourcing Manager you will provide Indirect procurement expertise to the global site buyer community (best practice tendering / negotiation etc).
  • You will contribute to ECMS, BU and site performance, drive EBIT and additional value contribution, and provide transparency on progress, opportunities, blocks etc. Actively engage with business partners to promote ECMS objectives, manage and challenge requirements as a partner and deliver site needs, Procurement and BU targets.
  • You will act in a way to develop and support “one team” approach throughout ECMS, BU and procurement regions.

 

You will have the following:

  • You have deep Indirect Procurement experience – five years minimum.
  • You are a motivated and a motivating team player with strong communication and presentation skills in English.
  • You are highly creative and interested in establishing new approaches to create value and establish new solutions principally to production / manufacturing challenges.
  • You have a strong perseverance in overcoming hurdles.
  • The ability to understand and translate Procurement and BU needs into viable projects / tenders.
  • You have strong commercial / contract negotiation and management skills.
  • You can demonstrate workload management, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills.
  • You have good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels both within and outside the company.
  • You have the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • You have the full ability to work and communicate in English.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor degree required (Engineering or relevant field)
