As the North American Sales Manager, Precious Metal Recycling and Chemicals, you will LEAD by……….

 

The North America Sales Manager- Precious Metal Recycling and Precious Metal Chemicals leads the regional sales commercial activities for the business unit and ensures alignment with the overall business strategy. They are responsible for guiding the Refining and PMC Commercial Sales team in expanding the commercial activities of CCM/R in the precious metal’s recycling and chemicals markets in North America. The role aims to deepen existing relationships with existing customers and identifying and onboarding new commercial accounts that meet the profitability and credit criteria of the business unit. This manager is a key leader and member of the commercial leadership team, and partners with other members of the group to develop and implement the overall business strategy. 

In this role you will:

  • Direct all commercial sales activities in North America, including maintaining and developing existing business and identifying and acquiring new customers.
  • Develop and maintain senior executive level relationships with customers.
  • Guide the North America sales team in implementing the strategy in their respective markets, in alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure risk is managed appropriately in all commercial sales activities, especially relating to credit management.
  • Maintain and develop talent in the NA commercial team.
  • Keep abreast of all major changes influencing the precious metals business environment. Analyze market trends, identify and monitor growth areas, and derive action plans. This includes leading and participating in multiple customer and trade show events, organizing meetings for the commercial and executive teams.
  • Ensure active communication and knowledge sharing both within the commercial organization and with other stakeholders within the business unit, particularly relating to market knowledge which could be useful to the dealers.
  • Responsible to provide leadership and direction to the North America team members to ensure key milestones and objectives are met. Utilize appropriate leadership techniques to create and foster a positive, high performance work environment and provide appropriate career growth and development opportunities for the team.

 

Your elements for success……

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline or preferred.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive commercial experience in a global environment required.
  • Leadership experience is required.
  • Understanding of the precious metals markets is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength in establishing and maintaining senior level relationships with customers.
  • Ability to utilize excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills to successfully interact with, and influence, the organization, peers, and senior management.
  • Prior experience with P&L accountability.
  • Proven track record of achieving short-term financial results while developing a long-term strategy.
  • Ability to build organizational alignment.
  • Fosters the integration of a diversity of perspectives across the organization resulting in development of high performing teams and output.
  • Involves, trusts and optimizes a diverse, high performing team and creates a vision that fosters a sense of common ownership.
  • Must be willing and able to travel regionally 35% of the time.

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $190k-$230k annually. Actual pay will be determine based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
