As the Global Product Manager, Precious Metal Chemicals you will LEAD by……….

 

The Global Product Manager will support the business management activities of the precious metal chemicals (PMC) portfolio including margin management, strategy implementation, pricing, product/customer action planning and business financial forecasting. This position will be key in driving the multiyear precious metal chemical growth strategy aligned with business and commercial targets. In addition to third party sales, the PMC business manufactures key raw materials used by Mobile Emissions (CC-EE) and Hydrogen business, and this role serves as one of the key interfaces between the two ECMS business units.

 

In this role you will own:

 

Margin Management:

  • Margin management of the assigned product line globally
  • Ownership of pricing and overall pricing process and strategy
  • Costing analysis ensuring premium on cost of capital achieved
  • Implementation of new product strategies
  • Support precious metal management activities
  • Business financial forecasting

 

Profitable Growth

  • Product portfolio strategy per market segment, including retention & growth strategies
  • Collaborate with Commercial team to deliver profitable growth for targeted products
  • New product introduction process development
  • Coordinate growth projects cross-business divisions and cross-business functions

 

Short-term budget process

  • Lead the development of the short-term plan
  • Align volume forecast with capacity planning
  • Ensure alignment between business management and commercial

 

Commercial Sales Support

  • Guide sales force relative to product pricing and positioning
  • Value Proposition Development
  • Customer/Product action plan support
  • Development of customer communications

 

Strategic Marketing Support

  • Perform market sizing activities
  • Quantify total accessible market and make recommendations on execution of go to market strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Communications to support marketing initiatives.
  • Support customer segmentation, targeting, and positioning efforts to improve market penetration and engagement.

 

Your elements for success……

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, chemistry or related discipline required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of work experience required, progressive commercial experience in a global environment preferred.
  • Market sizing activities experience preferred. 
  • Understanding of the precious metals markets is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the chemical industry is preferred.
  • Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills required
  • Demonstrated strength in establishing and maintaining relationships.
  • Ability to utilize excellent interpersonal skills and successfully interact with, and influence, the organization, industry experts, and senior management.
  • Proven track record of working in a start-up like mode, fostering new ideas into tangible new business opportunities.
  • Must possess strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking and delivering on commitments
  • Ability to independently navigate a complex work environment
  • Ability to build organizational alignment in a global environment
  • Must be willing and able to travel 15% of the time.

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $115k-$145k annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
