As the Director of Global Transformation Management, you will LEAD by…….

 

In this Key Leadership role, you will support ECMS’ ambitious value creation plan to continuously improve performance and competitiveness in a changing market environment by supporting and managing complex organization-wide projects on a global basis.  Furthermore, you will align the identified improvement measures across ECMS and report on progress and defined performance metrics to Business and Functional Units as well as ECMS and BASF Leadership. This role will lead up to two PMO-type roles that still need to be hired.

 

In addition, you will

  • Enhance and continue to develop a performance driven culture across the organization in close alignment with the ECMS Leadership Team
  • Define and manage a transparent and harmonized system of reporting on impact from improvement measures to create a holistic ECMS view on progress against our ambitious targets
  • Identify new opportunities to maximize overall ECMS profitability
  • Create and support innovative solutions for ideation efforts
  • Define and implement new improvement measures and projects in consultation with Business and Functional Units subject matter experts
  • Impart your strong analytic thinking and proven ability to structure problems to inform data-driven decision making and strategy adjustment
  • Collaborate with senior executives and other stakeholders in areas where you may have had no previous experience, all against backdrops of high expectations and tight timelines
  • Manage relationships with senior leaders in different functional and business areas and with varying styles
  • Analyze complex data from various sources, synthesizing information quickly, presenting insights to senior management          
  • Prepare stakeholder presentations in a concise and professional manner
  • Challenge and engage in controversial topics, facilitate open communication among and between project teams and other stakeholders
  • Apply your action-oriented capabilities as you effectively manage and resolve issues as they arise, identifying potential risks and creating countermeasures as needed

 

Your elements for Success…….

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, economics, engineering, or equivalent required with 15+ years of overall experience preferred
  • MBA, master’s in business or technical discipline from a top tier University preferred
  • Significant experience working in management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar internal experience, ideally associated to the chemical industry required
  • Experience leading and operating in a global business environment
  • Evidence of successful results leading and operating in a global business environment
  • Experience working with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to document and present analytical results suitable for audience of various technical and organizational levels
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to exercise independent judgment and bring structure to unstructured problems
  • Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, time management, interpersonal skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to deliver feedback to senior leaders’ week to week, coupled with the ability to engage as a peer
  • Experience with best-practice performance management and change management tools preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel globally and domestically and operate across all time zones

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $225-$275k annually, plus performance-based incentives. Actual pay will be determine based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
