Position Summary
The LD Prep Production Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of catalytic slurry preparation and coating operations. This role serves as a technical expert, process leader, and cross-functional collaborator who supports production flow, resolves process issues, and provides training and guidance to others. The Specialist must be able to provide shift coverage as needed, including short‑notice coverage to support operational requirements.

Technical Expertise & Process Mastery
· Applies advanced knowledge of slurry preparation, solids/wet gain targeting, dilution requirements, and RTC processes.
· Interprets analytical data and makes accurate decisions based on lab results and part specifications.
· Demonstrates expert-level proficiency in Pi Tracking, CatTrack, CIMS batch ticket systems, and PGM control.
· Ensures accurate completion of batch tickets, mass balance documentation, and SAP entries.
· Identifies process deviations, data discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
· Recommends and supports implementation of process modifications to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
· Maintains high standards of documentation accuracy and compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
· Models safe work practices and ensures proper PPE usage.
· Actively identifies and mitigates safety exposures in the production environment.
· Communicates effectively with Slurry Prep, Analytical Lab, Production Control, Process Technicians, Process Engineering, Logistics, and Inventory Analysts.
· Coordinates slurry readiness including suggested Adjustments, Scheduling, Profiling, Conditioning, and Batch Approvals.
· Escalates issues promptly and provides clear, data‑driven updates.
· Acts as a peer trainer and subject matter expert for slurry preparation and production control processes.
· Provides guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
· Leads by example in safety, quality, and operational discipline.
· Supports departmental cross‑training and serves as backup for critical roles.
Flexibility & Reliability
· Provides shift coverage as required, including short‑notice coverage to support production needs.
· Adapts to changing priorities, schedules, and operational demands.
· Maintains consistent attendance and dependability.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· 5 Yrs. LD Prep Targeter Experience or 3 years’ experience and associate degree in related field
· 2 years intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and relevant technical software preferred
· Demonstrates the ability to influence others and collaborate for achievement.
· Excellent Proficiency in SAP
· Excellent understanding of CIMS batch ticket system.
· Excellent and Strong communication/collaboration skills.
· Attend Qualified Trainer Training Class.
· Excellent understanding and usage of the Pi Tracking system.
· Expert Level understanding and usage of the CatTrack system for RTC.
· Ability to work alternate shifts and provide short‑notice coverage when required.
