RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide professional Procurement expertise to the ECMS businesses in area of responsibility.
- Ensure business continuity through uninterrupted and competitive supply of ECMS's critical raw materials in the portfolio focused on the region EMEA.
- Purchasing Category ownership: Develop global sourcing strategies for the portfolio, working closely with the business unit and the Procurement network. Develop negotiation targets and tactics. Lead global negotiations for the portfolio, ensuring a competitive advantage for ECMS
- Leverage advanced analytics, spend analysis, auctioning and other tools to unlock value.
- Serve as the relationship manager for select suppliers in EMEA, including commercial relationship, monitoring of performance metrics, innovation capabilities, sustainability ratings, resolving claims and/or disputes, market intelligence, and other contributing factors affecting supply availability and pricing of products procured.
- Conduct market intelligence research by interacting with key suppliers, industry associations, and internal stakeholders to collect industry-relevant information and assess the impact on current and future ECMS operations.
- Assess supply risks (single sources, sole sources) and develop & implement mitigation plans for all critical raw materials.
- Participation in cross-functional teams to drive sourcing topics, value generation, cost transparency, execution of procurement road map/strategy. Drive internal Stakeholder management with functions such as Operations, RD&A, Supply Chain, Marketing Sales as needed
- Support Purchase to Pay Process and functional guidance to Procurement Operational officers
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree in business a plus
5 years of experience in Procurement or Commercial Function - Experience in Procurement Strategy, Procurement Processes, Negotiation Preparation strongly desired
- Ability to influence and drive change without direct Fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global business environment.
- Solid understanding of contract management, supplier negotiations, and category management principles.
- Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and drive change without direct authority
- Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and with external partners. Fluent in Business English.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on business value creation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and make sound decisions with limited information.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand business needs and adapt processes and approaches accordingly.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and initiative.
