Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure catalyst research and analytical activities are carried out in the lab with highest levels of safety and quality practices.
• Work with key raw material suppliers to develop materials that can be used in cost-effective next generation exhaust gas aftertreatment technologies for the Indian market.
• Contribute to development of innovative, cost-effective catalyst solutions for exhaust gas aftertreatment.
• Collaborate with local and global researchers and application engineers to foster synergy, accelerate innovation and deliver results.
• Keeping abreast of the relevant publications in the open literature, as well as patent applications.
• Submission of invention records based on new experimental findings.

Job requirements

Required:

• PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• Working experience in heterogenous catalysis required.
• Understanding of basic characterisation tools (BET, TPR/TPD, chemisorption, SEM, XRD, etc.) used in catalyst research and development.
• Well-developed oral and written English communication skills.
• Works well independently and in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of and focus on safety in the laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment 

Preferred:

• Exposure to automotive catalyst research and development is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with characterisation tools (BET, TPR/TPD, chemisorption, SEM, XRD, etc.)
