Objectives of the Position

Based on Defined Segment Strategy, manage the team and execute the sales process to implement Mobile Emission Catalyst business unit strategy at the customer interface. Develop strategic initiatives to identify business trends in and beyond the targets while enabling cross-business collaboration and synergies to maximize BASF value.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain strategic business goals and targets with respective Key accounts in the MCY segment.  

  • Responsible to develop, implement, monitor, and guide Sales Strategies and key account management (including pricing implementation)

  • New Business Development, Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications, and interact with corresponding process and product developers of the potential customers, leading to profitable future business.

  • Drive initiatives to improve profitability by implementing value add value engineering (VAVE) measures and value sharing with key OEM’s.

 

Planning & Operational:

  • Responsibility for financial performance to achieve agreed-on targets regarding gross margin costs for the business.

  • Provide accurate business forecast and lead the account managers to support efficient sales planning.

  • Responsible for efficient management of receivable / payment collection, DIV, DSO

  • Negotiate and close deals or contracts with customers and provide operational guidance and support to relevant functional departments, to ensure smooth implementation.

Leadership:

  • Lead team of Key account managers in the MCY segment and drive the team to achieve organizational targets.

  • Work closely with regional / global team for effective cross collaboration

  • Influence decision makers in a complex environment within and outside BASF at all levels, and drive actions / decisions without disciplinary responsibility

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree with MBA (desired)

Working Experience: Minimum 10 years of sales / B2B preferably with Auto / Auto ancillary Industry
