Objectives of the Position

 

As Lead of IR / ER this position will be accountable for the execution and delivery of employee and industrial relations (ER/IR) services for the Business Unit while managing the Industrial Relations Climate.

 

Will provide and develop an effective workforce solution, meeting short and long-term needs, Ensure that the employees are engaged and all compliances with respect to labor law adhered to at the site / Liasoning with Govt. Bodies / agencies

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

    • Formulate and implement IR strategies that align with company goals and industry trends.
    • Stay updated on legislative changes affecting industrial relations in the automotive sector.
    • Lead negotiations and manage collective bargaining agreements with labor unions.
    • Ensure agreements are fair, equitable, and aligned with the company's objectives.
    • Resolve employee grievances and disputes efficiently.
    • Handle disputes involving unions, management, employees, and government agencies.
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Prepare and submit reports and documentation related to industrial relations and labor practices.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain positive relationships with operators and unions.
    • Facilitate regular meetings between unions and management to address concerns.
    • Provide guidance on labor and union regulations to department heads and key personnel.
    • Manage compliance with statutory requirements, including those related to the Factories Act, contract labor, PF, ESI, and other legal obligations.
    • Liaise with government bodies, labor commissioners, and local authorities.
    • Oversee contract management, manpower rationalization, and flexible deployment strategies.
    • Analyze market conditions and propose working models and change interventions.
    • Develop and oversee comprehensive training programs for operators.
    • Lead engagement initiatives, including monthly communication meetings for operators.
    • Handle routine tasks such as attendance, overtime calculation, incentive schemes, and manpower reporting.
    • Act as the spokesperson for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters and compliance related audit and customer audit.

 

 

Education: Master’s (Preferred in Personnel Management / MSW / IR) with a comprehensive understanding of Labour Laws / legal acts relevant to a factory establishment

Working Experience: Minimum 10 Years

Desired: Handled LTS independently.
