O Objectives of the Position
EHS Specialist, will provide subject matter expertise that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations. In this role, you will support the analysing, recommending, implementation and application of environmental, health and safety and process safety management processes and programs. You will understand, in detail, the applications of safe, compliant operational practices, and support compliance demonstration associated with company policy, work processes, programs and standards.
R Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyse, monitor & implement Responsible Care code requirements.
- Support in conducting various Risk assessments like HIRA, JSA & HAZOP
- Facilitate EHS inspections of facility to observe Unsafe act/conditions through participation of employees & track actions progress.
- Support & take part in MOC, PSSR activities.
- Support and co-ordinate in the ESG related activities of BASF and customers.
- Plan and co-ordinate the operation and maintenance of Effluent Treatment plant.
- Support the safe execution of projects by providing timely advice regarding the Management of Risks during project execution
- Organize, take part in incident investigation, analyze, recommend CAPA, monitor / track implementation; awareness on incident investigation techniques can be an added advantage.
- Compile, coordinate, monitor occupational exposure levels at shop floor not limited to chemicals, noise & heat stress etc. and maintain IH related equipment’s.
- Identify, coordinate, develop and implement EHS continual improvement projects.
- Outline, monitor, ensure safe execution of high risk / permit to work activities coordinating with stake holders.
- Organize safety committee meetings and track progress.
- Organize ERT, fire assessment, drills and recommend, analyze, and implement actions.
- Plan and organize Health & Safety promotional campaigns leading to a strong safety culture.
- Analyze and implement ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 certification requirements.
- Establish / Review and Monitor Contractor safety management and adherence.
Minimum Education and Qualification
Mandatory Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably in Chemical / Electrical / Mechanical) Minimum 1st Class – Full time degree
- Master’s Degree in Safety from AICTE accredited colleges – full time degree / Full time Diploma from RLI / CLI with Minimum 1stst Class
Other Required Qualification:
Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor certification in ISO 45001:2018 & 14001:2015
Additional Qualification
- NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Diploma.
Working Experience:
9+ years, desired working experience in Chemical / Oil & Gas / Automobile Manufacturing Industries with strong exposure to Process Safety Management and EHS Management Systems.
