We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and support the day-to-day operation of the Chemical Catalysts Prep area, providing technical assistance in executing the required production plan. In this role you will own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Equipment Procedures (EP’s) and Batch Instructions, lead troubleshooting efforts, and interact with Operations, Maintenance, and other operational support personnel.  As you deliver process improvements in quality, productivity, cost, and environmental compliance, you must also demonstrate strong leadership in safe plant operation and adherence to ECMS Occupational and Process Safety rules and policies. You will be instrumental in leading troubleshooting efforts when problems arise and are a solution provider.

 

As an Operations and Reliability Engineer, you will LEAD by……….

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:  Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, ensure safety and efficiency, and support plant operations.
  • Process Optimization:  Monitor and analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and propose project scopes for enhancements.
  • Management of Change (MOC): Support and participate in MOC processes, which are crucial for managing changes to plant equipment and procedures.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:  Analyze data to support operational decision-making, troubleshoot problems, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration:  Work closely with operations, maintenance, and other teams to coordinate solutions and enhancements.
  • Project Support: Serve as a manufacturing representative for capital projects, focusing on projects that reduce costs, improve quality, and increase sustainability.
  • Your robust analytical ability will aid you in preparing specific reports with the associated database. This will, in turn, allow you to appropriately monitor and adjust the PM intervals, arrange scheduling with equipment owners where necessary, and monitor preventative and pro-active maintenance of the equipment. 
  • Helping to foster a team environment, you will communicate openly and effectively and demonstrate the championing of new ideas. 

 

Your elements for success……

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of experience.
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience in precious metals chemical/refining or similar manufacturing environment

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $80-$110k annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
