As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional you will LEAD by……….

• Maintaining and monitoring EHS compliance programs while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs.
• Sustaining EHS compliance and serving as the main interface for agency inspections and reporting.
• Leading and/or participating in investigation and root cause analysis for accident/ incidents as needed. 
• Perform certain site-specific environmental tasks including waste management and air emission monitoring.
• Preparing and delivering training for various EHS and onboarding topics. You will also use these skills to maintain written EHS procedures and programs.
• Providing input to the Site Manager and interfacing with regulatory agencies, as needed, on compliance and/or enforcement issues.
• Actively participating on the site leadership teams, and the EHS Community across ECMS. 

Your elements for success……

• BS in Environmental Compliance, Process Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or Science.
• Experience in implementing Environmental, Safety and Industrial Hygiene programs in lab/R&D setting or a small manufacturing setting.
• Related industry certifications, example: CSP, CIH, highly desired
• Experience in executing EHS policies both internal and external as well as understanding external regulatory requirements.
• Experience using monitoring and analytical methods to detect the extent of worker exposure and employ engineering, work practice controls, and other methods to control potential health hazards
• Experience with hazard recognition, job hazard analysis and Process Hazards Analysis.
• Experience with implementing various security required programs.
• Solid computer skills (ex. Spreadsheets, word processing, database management).
• Effective communication skills.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $75,000- $95,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
